An Uzbek woman who found herself in a difficult situation in St.Petersburg, Russia, along with her three minor children, has been returned to Uzbekistan, the Dunyo Information Agency reported.

According to the report, Uzbek citizen R.Z. arrived in St. Petersburg in 2020 for employment. Between 2020 and 2025, she gave birth to three children. However, due to difficult life circumstances, the children’s birth certificates were not issued on time.

As a result, the children lacked identity documents. This, in turn, led to them being placed under temporary state care and transferred to a specialized institution for minors.

Following efforts by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, diplomats promptly clarified the situation and implemented comprehensive measures to protect the rights of R.Z. and her three minor children.

The Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg reviewed the case. During the proceedings, consulate staff submitted documents confirming the children’s identity and family ties, substantiating the need to return the children to a family environment.

After the court issued a positive ruling, the mother and her children were returned to Uzbekistan.
