Uzbekistan climb to 50th in FIFA rankings

FIFA has released its updated national team rankings on its official website, based on results at the end of March.

Uzbekistan, winners of the FIFA Series tournament held this month, have moved up to 50th place with 1,465.34 points, overtaking Costa Rica and Peru.

The result places Uzbekistan fifth in Asia, behind Japan, Iran, South Korea and Australia.

There were no major changes in the top 10. Morocco rose three places to eighth, while Croatia dropped out of the top tier.
